If its true

Well, if its true that you should get rid of two things for every one that you bring in... I am in serious trouble...

Yesterday was a pleasantly spent day in the company of Sonja... we dropped by the lace group's workshop that was being held at Red Top Mountain State Park and then drove on toward Chattanooga to visit a yarn shop in Dalton...

Look at what I found...

Sonja presented me with a buttonholer suitable for a Singer 15 class machine. Later that night the young lady next door gave me another buttonholer and an electric scissors that were both her grandmothers.

I am just the most fortunate of people... an avalanche of treasured objects...

What do you think???

Your opinon is requested.

I've put together the center of a baby's quilt top, now I need your expert assistance.
Which border do you like???
The center with a brown strip then pieced scraps??
The center with a pink strip then the pieced scraps??
the center with a brown strip and then a pink??
The center with a pink strip first than the brown??

I'll not finish the top till Monday or Tuesday so give me your thoughts...

Preemie beret

Yesterday at the Knitting Emporium in downtown Kennesaw I began work on a beret for the preemie nursery at one of the local hospitals... yes, there are mistakes but I don't think that any of the little guys will complain.... You are correct, it does look like some sort of torture device for small critters... True, Decker is not impressed with mom's knitting project :(

New machine

Well, yesterday was a big day... I found a new machine :) Now you might not think that its much but I have big plans for this guy. As you might be able to read on the head...it is an American. I've signed up to take a sewing machine repair class at the North Carolina TOGA in June. I need machines to work on...don't you think this one qualifies as needing a little help??? So far I've only bathed him in PB Blaster... next step will be de-ruster.... But what do you think of the stitch length dial??? I like it!!!
